Queer Eye Review

Episode 1.22: James Massey – Training Day
First Aired in SA: 01 March

From the Bravo Site (http://www.bravotv.com/Queer_Eye_for_the_Straight_Guy/):

“James' journey with the Fab Five got off to a bumpy start, as he wasn't completely prepared for the five-headed gay tornado that ripped through his apartment and deposited his sofa on the sidewalk. Look people: if you want the gourmet cuisine, the new wardrobe and the lovingly Thom-crafted décor, you have to be prepared to see your old, ugly things trashed and mocked. It's called tough love, and it's a necessary part of any proper style intervention. Fortunately, James quickly warmed to the whole process and after a painful start his attempted transformation was underway.”

James’ dog, Rocco, was a real monstrous menace. Jai got into the obedience school idea as he has a teacup Yorkie named Nemo.

James really freaked out when the boys were ripping apart his house. James is a really good guy and very likeable but his girlfriend was very nasty and critical.

This episode was hysterical so I’ve included screen caps of the Fab Five’s reactions to James’ disastrous evening.
Thom looked tired in this episode. And, a new term: “A power cleanser!”

Quotes:

Thom (walking around with a blow torch, and it’s operational): “What the hell does he have this for?”

Thom: “Interesting thing, Rocco is actually about to pee on his pea coat.”

Thom: “…sorbet soup.”
